  • Plano Symphony with Sharon Isbin

Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations, Performance Drive, Richardson, TX, USA January 18, 2020 | 8:00 PM

Internationally acclaimed Sharon Isbin performs Chris Brubeck’s Affinity: Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra. The composer writes: Sharon asked if there was any way to honor my father by including some of his musical spirit in the piece. It was October, and gazing out the window I watched some golden leaves lazily circling down to a stream, and was immediately reminded of Dave’s ‘Autumn in Our Town’. I used this beautiful melody as inspiration for the andante section in ‘Affinity’, and think of Dad every time I hear it.”
