Randy Porter Quartet: Remembering Brubeck

  • The Shedd E. Broadway & High Street Eugene, OR, 97401 United States (map)

In honor to Dave Brubeck's Centennial (Dec 6, 1920-Dec 5, 2012) and the release of the Brubeck Quartet's legendary album Time Out (Dec 14, 1959), we've asked jazz piano great and Shedd regular Randy Porter for an evening in tribute to the master with a focus on Time Out (including "Blue Rondo à la Turk", "Strange Meadow Lark", "Take Five", and "Kathy's Waltz") together with a selection from across Brubeck's career ("In Your Own Sweet Way", etc.). Randy is joined by Ed Bennett (bass), Michael Raynor (drums), and John Nastos (alto).

In cabaret format at The Shedd's Jaqua Concert Hall with extremely limited seating and appropriate state guidance will be adhered to strictly.

It will be an evening not to be missed.
